healing

Question by  amydoll1975 (20)

Should I be concerned about a 2nd degree burn that hasn't healed in over a month?

I burned myself during a camping trip about a month and a half ago, and it still is not better. Is this normal?

Yes if a burn is not getting better it means you are not healing correctly. This shows something is additionally wrong. You should go to a doctor.

No. It's most likely that you have an infection. You should definately go see your Dr. so it can be examined. They will most likely give you some type of cream medication to put on the infected area and possibly some type of oral medication. Definately go see your Doctor.

Unless it was a large burn, it should have healed by now. There is either an infection or your body is not healing at a normal speed. See a doctor.

A second degree burn should have at least healed partially after a month and a half. Burns are very prone to infection, and you probably have one, especially since you got the burn while camping. You should see a doctor.
