You should allow her to wear makeup to school, but only after you have a mother-daughter spa session at home in which you show her the proper way to use makeup to enhance her natural beauty and help make her look classy, not trashy.

Eyeliner is one of the more intense cosmetics that can really age someone or make them look overdone very quickly. If she is insistent on wearing eyeliner, you should teach her how to properly apply it so it looks tasteful. A little brown liner on the top lids would do.

I'm 13, so I'm speaking from experience here. You should give her a bit of freedom to wear eyeliner to school, but not too much. Teach her how to wear it properly. She'll feel like she fits in and you won't feel like she looks trashy. It's a win-win situation!

I think that you should allow her to wear it. She is at the right age and as long as you give her a little lesson so she can put on makeup without looking like garbage it is totally ok. Most girls around that age wear it she is truthfull!

I don't think that 13 year-olds should wear eyeliner, however, if they are determined to do it, they will! A compromise sounds best, maybe let her wear a light color.

13 year old girls shouldn't wear much more than lip gloss in my opinion. I think that a girl shouldn't be wearing much makeup until they're of working age.

Your daughter is now officially a teen-ager, and it's perfectly acceptable for a girl her age to use eyeliner and other types of makeup, provided it's done subtly and in good taste.
