It is so very worthwhile. The Everglades is so much more than a swamp. It is an ecological marvel. It is home to many species of animals like the alligators, many natives plants, trees and wildlife.

It is absolutely worth the trip. You can take an airboat ride through the Everglades and see all kinds of wildlife, from alligators, to black panthers, to beautiful exotic birds. You can make a stop at a Seminole Indian reservation and see alligator wrestling and view the indian lifestyle.

The Flordia Everglades are definitely worth a visit---enjoy the unique scenery and the incredible wildlife. The best time to enjoy this beautiful park is during the Spring---very few insects!

Definitely yes. It is a swamp and dangerous. But it remains one of the few natural swamp areas in the US. It offers wildlife in native habitat, all kinds of plant life, It would be a good place for a couple or family with older children to 'get back to Nature'.

Family spent Christmas in Florida for the first time, and was disappointed all the way around. Attractions in the Everglades were over rated. Two teenage boys were not happy campers. The price for some of the activities were very high, and would never revisit again.

Not my cup of tea. I'd say there are better places to visit before getting out to the everglades but some find it amazing!
