Global warming has already begun. At the polar ends of the earth the environment has already warmed to the point of altering water levels of the ocean.

The Earth has been cooling since the year 2000. This is why much of the climate debate has shifted from "global warming" to "climate change". The 1990s were warmer than average, but the 2000s have actually seen a slight cooling.

I personally think that there WILL be global warming. However, I don't think that it will become a major problem unless we are irresponsible enough to let it get that way. The real problem is greenhouse gases, gases like carbon dioxide and even water vapor, which let heat into the atmosphere, but don't easily release it. In that sense, yes.

The Earth naturally goes through periods of global warming and cooling, but the question is how much do humans contribute to this? Most scientists agree that this contribution is significant.

According to scientists there is already global warming going on. Temperature are on the rise. The polar ice caps are melting and continually shrink from the slightly increasing temperature. This trend will continue until something is done to decrease the amount of pollutant in the environment. In turn cause the greenhouse effect to go away.
