Is there asbestos in old landfills?

Sure their is. Before asbestos was found to be harmful and resulted in many deaths. Landfills were havens for people dumping siding, insulation gaskets, pipe wrapping and much more. It was only in the last 40 years has anything been done to prevent removing insulation and any wrapping that was done on furnace pipes. It has to be professionally removed.

You bet there is. Actually you can find asbestos and other harmful chemicals in MOST landfills. They dump them in designated places and will bury them underground but they still get into the soil. There really isn't a sure fire way of getting rid of asbestos and other dangerous chemicals.

Surely. Since old materials are often put in landfills to be thrown away, it is plenty probable that a local landfill has asbestos.
