It's just a marketing ploy developed by Colgate-Palmolive back in 1972. The soap isn't inspired by any set location, but rather the idea of a "fresh" location in American minds. However, there are Irish spings, including Knockanare Well, Struell Wells, St. Ann's Well, and Leixlip. Many of the wells were considered holy places and places for healing.
