Custard is a sweet mixture primarily made from milk and eggs. Pudding however, is a sweet mixture made with milk and thickened with cornstarch but contains NO eggs.

I find them about the same. Rice custard has more eggs. My recipe for rice custard pudding is 2 1/2 cup cooked rice; 1 cup sugar; 1 teas. vanilla; 1/2 cup raisins; 5 eggs, beaten, 2 cups milk; pinch of salt; Combine rice with 1/2 c. sugar, vanilla and raisins(soaked) Add other ingredients, bake at 350 for 40 minutes

Rice custard is made in the over instead of on the stove top. Rice custard is usually served in individual custard cups topped with a fruit glaze or topping.

They are very similar. Both contain milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon. Rice custard may have more eggs than rice pudding. It could be baked in a custard cup.
