No Miralax has not been approved for children. The best thing to do is get your kid some apple juice and get him/her to a doctor!

Yes if the child takes more Miralax it can lead to severe constipation and it will hurt the child. So decrease the dose of Miralax and give high fibre diet to the child which may clear out the constipation.

Miralax is safe for use in children. It is a mild laxative that can be used on a daily basis to prevent constipation. The over the counter version has more strict recommendations than the prescription form but both can be used in children. It works better when used regularly than it would to treat severe constipation.

Not Medical advice: Miralax is safe for children. If you have any concerns speak with your pediatrician. You may also want to try something else for constipation such ask Milk of Magnesia, Mineral Oil,Docusate,Malt Soup Extract, Senokot, Metamucil/Citrucel and Lactulose. You may also want to try a glycerine suppository. Good luck.

It is safe for children but you want to use the lowest dose possible. Make sure to talk with your doctor about the dosage.

Based on your child's age, if s/he is an infant you should not use Miralax. For older children it can be useful but if your child is very constipated, you should use an enema first because of hard stool matter that is probably present.
