Less than 6 hours, you get a 15 minute unpaid break. Between 6 and 8 hours, you get a 15 minute unpaid and a 30 minute unpaid break. 8 hours 1 1/2 hr and 2 15 minute breaks, all unpaid.

I have been told that any employee working an 8 hour day is entitled to a minimum of 2 - 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. I believe if an employee works less than 4 hours no lunch break is required.

Generally speaking, any employee who works a daytime shift of at least six hours has to be given an unpaid lunch break. Your shift must start before 11 AM and end after 2PM, and the lunch period must beat least half an hour between those same hours.
