Is it true that grand ams have a lot of mechanical problems?

grand ams are a great car to have but the transmissions in them like to go but there are a ton of them so you can get it for cheap

Well I wouldn't say that are extremely problematic. You can look up common defects yourself by search car review sites and recall pages. That will show you major issue that people have experienced over time. Then you can see whether or not they are problematic.

I don't believe this to be true, grand ams made by pontiac have no more mechanical problems than any other brand out there.
