Yes, that is very much possible. Even if you have not seen that love for many years. There is, however, a difference between love and lust. When you lust for someone you want them for the then and there, love takes longer and has a lot of compromise.

It is definitely possible to be in love with you first love. Sometimes people may think they are just because they don't have anything to compare it to, but if you have been together long enough, you can definitely get past that "puppy love" phase and reach a state of a real, true, deep love.
