Yes, it is very normal to miss your period on the pill. It can even stop showing up all together! If this is an uncommon side effect for you, be sure to take a pregnancy test and follow up with your doctor. But many women skip periods on the pill, especially the new 24/4 ones.

It is normal to miss a period while taking a prescription birth conrtol pill. In fact, some women can either miss or have more frequent periods than prior to taking anything. This is a side effect that may subside or even increase as the medication becomes a regular routine.

It depends what pill you are one. It's common if you have just started your pill. If you start birth control pills in the middle of a cycle and not on the first day of your period your period will not come until you're on the placebo pills during days 21 through 28.

The pill may contain either or both estrogen and progesterone. Progesterone tricks the body into a pregnancy mode and this blocks production of estrogen which is involved in shedding off the uterine wall. As a result thus, yes, it is possible to miss the periods.
