Is it hard to grow an amarillo flower in the South?

From my knowledge, they grow very well in the south. Just make sure you do not water too much and it will even bloom again after it dies back. All you do is wait for the leaves to turn brown and then cut the leaves off at the soil and in about 8-10 weeks it will bloom again.

Amaryllis grows best in drier climates, but not the tropics, so it depends upon the region. The southwest has an ideal climate. Areas in the southeast may be too tropical.
