In Excel, can you set it to automatically adjust cell width?

There is so little room for writing, I always end up adjusting the width. It would save me time if I could set it to be automatic.

Under Format in the top bar, there should be a button called AutoFormat. Although it's not truly automatic, it adjusts the width of columns based on the amount of text in the individual boxes.

You could format cells to auto wrap text which should extend the cell height automatically to display all the entered text, but you will still need to adjust the width.

One easy way to do this is to double click on the very top - i. e. the first row. Double click and it will set the width to contain cell.

You can set the cell width to adjust automatically under the options menu. It is a fairly simple process once you have located the option within the program. Once located simply enable this feature.
