Start incorporating healthy foods into their diet. Also encourage them to get out and exercise more. Play outdoor sports or games with them to get them outside and moving around.

the first step is to encouraging exercise. because ultimately you wont be able to help much if they dont want to help themselves.

First off, you don't want to talk about their weight all the time. Encourage some kind of activity that will keep them moving, whether it be an exercise class, walking, running or playing a sport. Try to make healthy meals that include vegetables, buy lots of fruit and don't keep any junk food in your house.

Never call them fat or overweight!!! They will never ever want to excercise or eat right because there parents are hurting there feelings. Just sneak in ways that they can excercise or eat right. Only put healthy food in the house and hide all junk food .

Get them on a good healthy diet, and a workout schedule, which consists of weight training and cardio. Encourage them, but stress to them the importance of having a healthy weight.

It is so imperative to motivate teens to get up and get moving. Show them exercising and eating right can be enjoyable. Encourage them to try out for sports or join clubs. Involve your teens in cooking and get them excited to eat healthy and delicious food!
