Rinse your eye with gentle saline solution (like Clear Eyes). This will soothe the eye by imitating tears. If this continues, talk to your doctor.

Your contacts could be causing eye irritation, the next time you go to your eye doctor you should mention this- you might need a different type of contacts. I would clean your contacts with solution and wash out your eye.

One of the things you can do about your red eyes is take some eyedrops. There are tons of different helpful types of eye drops in stores.

If you have glasses, consider removing your contacts and switching to glasses. Flush your red eye out with cool water multiple times if necessary. It is possible you have scratched your eye so look for swelling or other indicators which would mean you should see a doctor. If the redness is from irritation you will be fine soon.

It could just be irritated from the contact itself or something that entered the eye. Take a break from contacts until the redness goes away. If it does not go away within a few days, you should see a doctor.

Clean your contact lens case with soap and water and rinse well. Take the contact lens out, soak it in solution for a few hours, then put it back in.
