I have no sound on my Windows XP, what should I do?

Firstly, you should make sure that whether you have installed the correct sound card driver program. If not, please find or download one to install correctly and restart PC to retry. If it doesn't work, please check you WinXP system and your sound card hardware. If WinXp is no problem, it is highly possible that you got errors on hardware.

its your sound drivers that are not installed on the pc what you have to do is to tell your motherboard model if you want to do it your self then goto softpedia and write your motherboard model there they will give you the sound drivers but its difficult to find

Make sure that your computer is not muted. I know, it seems silly to say but sometimes the computer mutes itself. If that isn't it, make sure your speakers or headphones are not at the lowest volume. I went through the same problem with my computer as well. start off by checking the speakers. Be sure they are plugged in, and that the wires are not loose.

You should go into your control panel and open the device manager. Select your sound card, usually it is a Real Tek if you have not upgraded, and roll back the drivers. It is not uncommon in an XP for the driver updates to make the speakers stop working in the back of the pc.

Please right click my computer and choose manage, choose device manager, then right click Sound, video and game controller to check the driver installed properly.
