Question by  Cypress (166)

I found my husband's drugs, should I confront him?

I am upset that he lied to me, I am upset he's doing drugs, I don't know what to do.

Yes, you should. Offer to get him help for his addiction if he wants. If you can't live with the drugs I suggest you move on.

If you found drugs then you should certainly confront him. This is an issue that cannot be ignored because this is the sort of problem that will only escalate. If your husband is using drugs then he needs to seek appropriate avenues to help him to stop before it gets out of hand.

Addicts lie because the addiction is more important than the people around them. Confrontation will only lead to arguments or empty promises. Either have him admitted upon your signature for medical treatment or call the police who will force him into treatment (as a plea bargain to stay out of jail).

You should confront him about the drugs and tell him that you're upset about how he lied to you and that you will not tolerate his behavior. If possible, you may have to leave him until he changes his ways because you don't want your life to be in danger.
