Answer by  Clement (1453)

The seven deadly sins are lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride. Listing deadly sins goes back to the 4th century monk Evagrius Ponticus, although in his version there were eight. These eight were reduced to seven by Pope Gregory I in 590 AD. There are also seven cardinal virtues being inversions of the seven deadly sins.

Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, Envy, Wrath,Pride, and Greed. Lust is not only sexual lust but any excessive love that overcomes your love of God. Sloth is laziness or indifference. Gluttony generally denotes any form of overindulgence not just with food. Envy, Wrath, Pride, and Greed are exactly as they sound.
