The problem is most likely the fuse for the horn. Check the fuse box and look for horn fuse. It is very un-likely that the actual horn is broken, especially for a 2001. If its not the fuse, check the copper circle inside the steering wheel, it tends to wear away.

Well, if the horn is not working, I suggest you get it replaced by a professional. Don't do it yourself as it takes way too much time. If you want to learn how to do it, then you can purchase a to do book along side a horn on ebay.

First locate it. Typically it will be located behind the grill. Once it's found simply replace it with a new one of the same style.

It's quite unlikely it's the horn itself that is broken - more likely a relay or fuse. The horn is behind the grille and easily visible. Relays are in a small box under the hood, and the fuse will be beside the drivers knee.

Locate the horn. On many modern cars, it is in a wheelwell or behind the grille. Unbolt the old one, replace it, reconnect the wire.
