The absolute key to generating power during a game of tennis is proper foot placement. Maintaining the proper stance during the execution of a tennis swing, will give you the right amount of torque. Incidentally, your shots will have better placement on the court which will lead to greater accuracy.

it doesn't hurt to maybe add some strength conditioning to any workout you may do, but if you aren't into that the racket can help. rackets have what is called a stiffness rating. the stiffer the racket the harder it allows you swing, thus producing more power!

Taking tennis lessons was what helped me gain some real power in my swing. If lessons are not an option to you, try push-ups to strengthen your arms.

Strength training and form perfection equate to power. The idea is to generate speed which translates to power. You may also try Band Balls, which are tennis balls which an elastic band which when struck will give resistence

Build arm and chest muscles, practice your stroke either with a hitting partner or with a ball machine and keep yourself in shape. Use all parts of your body in your stroke.

Continually practicing hitting both your forehand and backhand as many times as you can, as fast as you can (repition is the key).
