Disconnect fluid lines first. Disconnect linkage. Disconnect the tie rod ends. Remove the mounting bolts. Carefully slide it sideways ut of the vehicle moving anything blocking it.

Support the front of the car on jack stands. REmove both front tires. Use a tie rod separator and disconnect the tie rods from the spindle. disconnect the fluid lines from the rack. Remove the mounting bolts from the chassis to get the rack out of the vehicle. Carefully "snake" it out you will use this for a core charge.

Basically you unbolt the rack from the control arms, then from the column, and finally from the frame. The process will vary by car though.

The first step is to review your car repair manual and order the right kit. Gaining access to the steering column in some vehicles can be a tough task. The good news is that rack and pinion steering is not hard to remove and any manual can show you where the releases are.
