Your ex wife is probably on two things with you; your mortgage and deed. Simply go to your county recorder's website and request for a Quitclaim Deed. Fill out the form, get it notarized and your ex is no longer on the deed. In order to take your ex-wife off of the mortgage you must refinance the loan.

You should do so thoughtfully, non-violently, and firmly. If there are monetary issues or ties, excise them. Explain to her your feelings, acknowledge hers, but do not be coaxed into changing your position. Plan to have the locks changed, assist her in packing, be kind, firm, and safe. If necessary, be prepared to involve authorities.

You and your wive to to go to the court house together and complete a form called a quick claim deed, in order to remove her name you must have court papers saying that you have all rights to the home. Once the deed is filled her name will be removed.

It is not that easy to remove anyone from the home if they live there. You will need to take legal action, if you own the home jointly it will be even more difficult. However if you own the home and she has no legal right you may have to show she is not paying rent or she is abusive.

You can do a quit claim deed, though you may have to buy her interest out of the home to legally have this stand up in court. You should also refinance the mortgage, if her name is on it, so that you are the only one responsible. Do not share debts with someone you are not married to.
