How should I go about changing tub hardware?

First, confirm the exact hardware you need. Either take pictures or note model numbers to purchase the correct hardware. Before starting, ensure all the water lines have been shut off for the tub and that you've given the drain 30 minutes to an hour to dry to prevent excess water from leaking out.

If you want to change the tub hardware such as the shower and knobs, you can basically uninstall them them using a screw driver. Look for areas where they have been binded and then uninstall from there. You can purchase new hardware from Home Depot and there are instructions for installation.

Making sure you buy the right hardware to replace the old is the most important step. Make sure that you have all of your supplies on hand and ready and be careful while you are working
