How old is considered "over the hill."

I hear that expression but I'm not sure what it means.

It can refer to any age when a someone is supposedly past their prime of life or physical condition. "Over the hill" jokes typically begin when someone reaches their 40th birthday. The greeting card stores always have "over the hill" cards and decorations for people turning 40, 50 or 60.

Over the hill refers to the age of a person. Some people consider 40 to be over the hill. Too old to be hip too young to be senior.

It depends on your friends and family, when they start teasing you about getting "over the hill" it's usually around the age of thirty or forty, for some it's fifty

The general consensus seems to think 50 is the age where you become "Over the Hill. " What it basically means is that you're really darn old.
