How much time does it take to travel on Amtrack from Washington DC to Williamsburg VA?

I will soon be going on a train trip and would like to understand the time line for arriving in Williamsburg so that I can know how many books to bring on the trip.

The trip from Union Station in DC to Williamsburg takes 3 hours and 45 minutes on the train. This is if you take the morning train which leaves at 7:30am and arrives at 11:15am. The afternoon train takes 3 hours and 40 minutes. It leaves at 2:30pm and arrives at 6:10pm.
