The cost of an MRI depends on several factors: One factor is if you got insurance and how much they will cover and pay. Another factor is what type of MRI and what body parts will be scanned. They can run from a few hundred dollars to thousands of dollars.

It really depends on whether it's covered by insurance or not, where you get it done, and if the place works on a sliding scale in terms of payment. If it's out of pocket it will probably cost around $800 to $1200.

It all depends what the MRI is for. But it can range into the thousands of dollars. Insurance usually covers it, less your deductible and your co-pay. Usually you need a referral.

That depends on what part of the body is being imaged, and whether the MRI is with or without contrast. It also depends on your insurance coverage. In general, though, an MRI costs between $1,000-$2,000.

A typical MRI of the brain and/or spinal cord can cost around $3000 to $3,500. This is in addition to the cost of the doctors visit from which you obtain the prescription. If using gadolinium based contrast, it will cost an additional $75-100.
