A defensive line man must posess a unique combination of skills. He must be fast enough to cahse down much smaller running backs but still large enough to fight through the blocks of very large linemen. Some d-lineman have been recorded benching over 400 lbs and squating over 600 lbs.

Defensive linemen are expected to be able to lift hundreds of pounds. At the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine, Jeff Owens bench pressed 225 pounds 44 times.

It depends on what person we are talking about, some lineman can lift upwards of 400 pounds while other average around 275. It really depends on the person but i would say the average is 350

A good defensive lineman should be able to bench and squat at least 300 pounds a few reps. He needs that kind of strength to handle large offensive linemen.

Most NFL lineman are very strong men, and lift on a regular basis with a professional trainer. I would say that the average Defensive lineman could lift between 350 and 400lbs depending on the exercise they are doing. This could increase per the type of exercise.

Well that depends on what level of competition we are talking about, high school, college, professional and what type of lifting we are talking about, dead lift, bench press, curling, etc. Typically a defensive lineman can bench press around 300 pounds. He can probably curl around 150 pounds, of course these numbers can vary.

defensive linemen should be able to bench 300+ on bench 300+ on power clean and 500 on squat for nfl by the end of ur senior year in highschool i would say 240 bench 250 power clean and 425 squat at the minimum for moving up in level of competition
