There are two "War of the worlds" movies. The first done in 1953 with Gene Barry and Ann Robinson and the second one done in 2005 with Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning.

There was the 1950s "War of the Worlds". Tom Cruise starred in the 2000s remake of "The War of the Worlds". A "The War of the Worlds 2" sequel was also created.

5 movies where made from the Wells' novel. One film starred Gene Barry. The remake has Tom Cruise. C. Thomas Howell produced and starred in one god-awful tv version and its sequel. Another movie shows what happens when listeners think the radio program of the novel is real.

The first in 1953, then in 1988 the show, then in 2005 with Tom cruise , then in 2005 and 2008 was the last one so far with C. Thomas Howell, I think all of them were good, except for the second one with C. Thomas Howell, Don't watch it!
