How many illegitimate children did George Washington had?

I think I read something about people claiming to be related to his illegitimate kids.

George Washington had no children of his own. His wife, Martha, was widowed with two kids when George married her and adopted them in 1759. A story, passed only by oral history, claimed that George had fathered a child with a slave, but there is no evidence to support the claim. Washington may have been sterile owing to childhood smallpox.

George Washington was believed to be infertile based on the fact that his wife never conceived during their marriage. Despite speculation and political rumors that George Washington may have fathered illegitimate children, the only evidence is an oral history passed down to the descendants of a slave named West Ford.

It appears that george washington did have children. he made babies when traveled then the mother would name the boy george washington then add her maiden name, i.E., george washington sole, george washington marshall, etc. the list is extensive. these were not children named for a famous celebrity.

There has always been the "humor comment" about "George Washington slept here". He had many illegitimate children. Children named after him were not named because he was a celebrity but because he was their father. And not just by slave women but throughout WV.  add a comment

George Washington's wife could have no more children after her first marriage so as he traveled, George "slept around" making babies throughout WV & the Ohio River Valley as well as the Mid-Atlantic States. Hundred, WV (formerly Virginia) has several descendants of George Washington.  add a comment
