How many bones are there in the human body?

There are 206 bones in the body. There are some parts of the body that you might think are one bone, but are in fact several different bones fused together. The best example of this is the skull: there are 22 bones in the skill that are fused together with sutures.

There are 206 bones in the body. They all grow to the maximum at the same time you do. Then when you get old and start to shrink, they do the same.

There are 206 bones in the average adult human body. If the sternum is considered to consist of 3 bones, this brings the total to 208. A new born child has approximately 300 bones.
