In chemical terms, amino acids are compounds containing amino group (-NH2) and carboxyl group (-COOH). Their composition includes the following elements such as C, H, N and O. The composition of the human body enters a total of 20 amino acids. 10 of them can be built into the body, while the remaining 10 must be entered through the food.

There are 13 non essential amino acids in humans: alanine, aspagrgine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, proline, Selenocysteine, serine, tyrosine, arginine and histidine. There are eight essential amino acids in humans: Isoleucine, leucine, Methionine, lysine, Threonine, phenoalanine, Tryptophan aan valine. They all have the same basic structure just with different side arms.

Along with the naturally occuring standard 22 amino acids, numerous non-standard amino acids are there.Amino acids are the organic compounds which contains amine group NH2. These amino acids forms chains, shorter chains forms peptides while a longer chain forms polypeptide or protein which are the building blocks of life. They are critical to life
