As with other opiates, Avinza withdrawal symptoms can peak within 36-72 hours and last 5-7 days. Do not stop taking this drug without consulting your health care provider.

Was on Avinza for 4+ years for chronic severe back pain from multiple back surgeries. Went from 120mg-90-60-30mg over the course of 4 months. Diarrhea during the weaning was the worst part. Exercize minimizes the withdrawl.

Withdrawal symptoms can be long term and life threatening. Do not abruptly stop this drug, try tapering the dose to avoid these symptoms.

After taking Avinza for almost a year, my doctors brought me down from 120 mg to 30 mg, a month at a time. It has now been 8 days, and I'm still going through withdrawls. I can't stand it, I anxious, pacing, quivering, chills, etc.

Well the withdrawal symptoms should last from one week to one month depending on how long you took the medicine. But if you want to get rid of the symptoms as soon as you can, then you might want to start exercising as well as adopting a healthy diet to counter the effects.

Avinza is considered an opiate type drug and a doctor should be notified when usage is stopped. Withdrawal symptoms can last five to seven days and be at their peak at day three or four.

Withdrawal from an opiate, such as Avinza, typically lasts about one week. If symptoms last longer than seven days, it may be a wise choice to see your doctor to make sure there is no lasting effects from taking the medication.

Anxiety, headache, memory difficulty, fatigue and mood swings are all common symptoms of withdrawl. withdrawl typically lasts 5-7 days. Your doctor can give you a mild anti-anxiety medication or sedative to help relieve symptoms. Do not drive or do anything that will require fast reflexes during this time as you may experience light sedation or hyper reflexes.

My doctors reduced my Avinza 1 month at a time. After 3 back and 2 neck surgeries, my lower back is completely fused. The only disc that connects my upper back and lower back is arthritic. It is 10 days since I stopped and I'm still going thru withdrawls.

My doctor put me back on 30 mg Avinza, 3 days/week then step down to lessen my adverse withdrawl symptoms. Have appt this week. Morning after first pill, up early, no back pain, function @ high level, happy, thinking rationally. Afraid of going thru withdrawals again. Begin aquatic therapy again.
