The main ingredient in lipstick is wax and then color pigment, fragrance, oil and preservatives are also used. These ingredients are all melted separately and then mixed together. The mixture is pored into the tube mold to set and then it is cooled. Once cooled it can then be packaged.

Lipstick can have many ingredients. As many as 3 kinds of wax form most of the base. There are several oils added, and usually moisturizers and sunscreen, as well. Dyes are added for the color, and a pearlizing agent for the frosted shades. As a hot liquid mix, it is poured into molds and chilled.

Coloring is added to wax and oils to make lipstick. It used to be made with lots of lead but that changed. It still contains trace amounts of lead but not enought o be dangerous.

Lipsticks are made to enhance the current fashion trends and come in wide range of colors and shades. Lipstick is made up of dyes and pigments in a fragranced oil-wax base. Ingredients such as fats, coloring, oils, and waxes are combined together. Some lipsticks are made with all natural ingredients.

3 steps: melting, mixing, packaging. Each ingredient is melted separately in containers before they are mixed together. After hours of grinding the pigment mixture, it is mixed with the hot wax until the color and consistency are ideal. The mixture is molded, poured and cooled. The final step is packaging and labeling.
