How is a mountain bike different from a "regular" bike?

Well for one thing, the wheels on a mountain bike are equipped to travel on heavy terrains. The tires are extra sturdy and the warranty on a mountain bike is higher. Also mountain bikes can travel at higher altitudes. In total, a mountain bike is a better catch and is more expensive.

By regular bike, I'm assuming you mean the types of bikes that teenagers ride. Mountain bikes have more gears than these types of bikes.. They also have larger tires.

A mountain bike has difffent tires and pedals for harder to ride surfaces than a regular bike which is basically for smooth roods.
