Lymphoma is typically diagnosed after the doctor suspects it judging your symptoms. They will then take a biopsy of any cysts that reside on your lymphnatic system (Typically underneath the arms or near the groin.) They will then send these samples off to a lab to confirm that is in fact lymphoma.

A doctor may suspect lymphoma based upon blood test results and certain symptoms, but a definitive diagnosis requires visualization of blood cells under a microscope in a blood smear.
