Facial pores can change size due to hormones, age, and sweating. The hormone testosterone can increase pore size. Also, as we age our pores naturally get bigger. When we perspire more, more waste product and oil is forced through our pores which can also stretch them out

It's important to understand that your pores are not like a muscle that changes in size. If your pores look large it's because they are either oily or dried out.

The skin is a pliable material that takes on a dynamic shape. Pores are effected by temperature, foreign material, etc. so that the skin can adjust and regulate permeability.

Pores can enlarge when skin is not taken care of the way it should be. If you do not wash your skin, especially your face, dirt will build up under your skin and cause your pores to enlarge, and usually turn into acne.
