How do you store live oysters?

Store live oysters with the shell and never in an airtight container! ( They'll have no oxygen.) Cover them lightly with damp towels in the refrigerator shell side down in a mesh bag. The temperature should be below 40 degrees. Refrigerate them within ninety minutes and eat within two days.

First get a big cooler. Second, fill it with seawater from where you got the oysters. If seawater is not available you may try to make your own by adding salt to freshwater. Like in an aquarium it is tricky to get the PH levels of the water just right.
