How do you start strength training?

I want to become more built, but when you don't have much to you, it's hard to start out.

There are few supplements that will satisfy most people without the muscle mass. The best way to start would be to use an amount you are comfortable lifting. Then add intervals of 2.5 to 5 lbs. to that until you hit the amount you have difficulty lifting. now drop down by 5 lbs. and start 4 sets of 8-12 reps.

The key to starting strength training is to go slow. Don't over do it. Start with light weights and high reps. Be patient. Over time you will find yourself lifting heavier weights easier and gaining more muscle mass. The muscle have to build up a tolerance to the heavy weight.

Start a basic all-round workout, which encorporates all the main compound movements (Bench press, shoulder press, squats, rows, curls & extensions). Good luck.

You can start by doing push ups. Do them against a wall while standing up, then work your way to the floor. Bend your knees if you must. Do squats and lunges while holding weights that are heavy, but comfortable. As you progress over time, increase the weights.
