In order to rip a DVD, you need two different components: 1.) You need a DVD Rewritable Drive and 2.) You need software that works with your drive.

You will need to use a software such as Nero Burning ROM, Roxio or the Windows proprietary burning program - either works the same.

I don't know what you mean by ripping with an mp3. Mp3's only contain audio. You can use a dvd cloning program to copy a dvd. Look online for one.

Magic DVD, imTOO, Nero, and several other companies offer DVD ripping software. However, from the phrasing of your question, it sounds like you want to BURN a DVD, to put an MP3 file on it. For that, you need to have a DVD burner. Then you simply drag the file onto the disc in My Computer and click Burn Disc.

Dvd's can be copied using one of the many dvd ripping programs available online. These program will not rip to an mp3 format though since that is audio only.
