You need a chalked plumbline: a weighted piece of string coated in chalk, buy it in DIY stores, or make your own. Allow an overlap of a width of paper into a corner, suspend plumbline from the ceiling, flick it against the wall and this leaves a chalked guide line.

It is very difficult because the patterns have to match exactly or seams will show through. First you have to make sure all of the paper comes from the same lot so that the colors are exact matches. As you hang it, be extremely careful to match the pattern and seams.

It's very difficult, I've now done two rooms and in the 1st one I put the stripes horizontally by accident and it looked awful, get someone to help you so they can tell you when it's vertical
