Spades is a card game that can be much fun. The basic run down is that all players are dealt their cards and they can either bid to make "books" or "go nil". Nil is where you cannot take any tricks at all. When you bid tricks you must make that many.. Practice makes perfect!

Spades is best played in teams of two. The player to the left of the dealer begins the play. Aces high, the highest card takes the trick. Players must follow suit unless they are out, in which case they may play a spade or a trump card. The team with the most tricks at the end wins.
