in order to obtain a job in a homeowners association, an individual homeowner needs to be voted to the position by the members of the homeowners association during their annual meeting. A normal position usually runs for 1 year.

Discuss you ideas and concerns directly with your neighborhood homeowner association and bring a proposal with you including what services you would offer them and what you would charge them.

To get on the board of a Home Owner's Association, you must be elected by other home owners with voting rights. Depending on your HOA rules, you may have to be nominated by someone else or wait for a formal nominating period. You can also run a petition drive to show the board how many members agree with you.

Each association is different. Some require positions to be elected members of the homeowners association while others will post advertisements in the local newspaper. The association I belong to just hired someone for clerical work who asked if there were any jobs available. Check to see when your annual elections are and run for a position.
