Actual instruments are not required for this kind of music, but techno does require a computer, a keyboard, and music sequencing software. With this type of an application, you are able to experiment with different sounds and digital instruments.

Techno music is in general a form of electric music. Even if owning a computer is not really necessary, it is highly recommended. There are a lot of music sequencing programs out there that you can get to start making your songs. Start of by programming beats then try to add more elements to it like, melody or lyrics.

In order to make techno music quickly, you will need a good DAW, which is short for Digital Audio Workstation. It is basically software that is used to make music.

A music creation program called "Fruityloops" is good for making techno music, although it takes a fair bit of practice to learn. You can find tutorials and a demo online.

Techno music is typically made on a computer using a midi input control like a keyboard or synthesizer and edited with a music producing software program such as Pro Tool or Ableton Live.

It's the digital age and there are lots of ways. For starters, you'll need a laptop, some software (I'd suggest garage band), a keyboard and a great imagination.

You can either use a program for Mac like Garageband and create loops and beats that have a techno feel or you can use pc programs such as Magix Music Maker 16.

Techno music is more difficult to make then it seems. You need computer audio recording equipment, a MIDI keyboard and other instruments to record parts to sample and loop, and the occasional voice for lyrics/singing.
