Open a new Microsoft word document and goto insert and click the option symbol and then click more symbols. There you can see many scientific symbols in the available list.

Go to the top of the toolbars on word. Click on insert. From insert there should be a "symbol" or "special charectors" depending on what version you have. From there select the square diamond.

It's on the Insert menu under Symbols. If you go to the menu at the top of the toolbar where it says File, Edit, View, and so forth, go to Insert, and under Insert you should have Symbols, and under Symbols you should have an option to insert a square diamond.
