How do you freeze apples?

Should you cook them first?

I first slice the apples into one-quarter inch slices. I spread them out in an even layer on a plastic-wrap covered cookie sheet. I squeeze lemon juice on the slices to avoid browning. I then put freeze them for twelve hours. I peel the plastic wrap off of the slices and store them in a labeled and dated plastic bag.

First peel the apples. Once they're peeled, remove any remaining brown spots with a knife. Then you need to core the apple with an apple corer or just slice it up removing the seeds. Next, pack slices into freezer containers (freezer bags or plastic containers) and place in the freezer.
