How do you figure the dimensions of a container?

The depth is hard to figure.

All you really need is a measuring tape (and maybe a calculator) to figure it out. Start by measuring the length, width and then the height of your container. The dimensions are right there. If you're looking for how much it will hold, multiply those 3 numbers together and you'll have your volume. Just remember the proper measurement units.

To calculate the volume of the container. Multiply the length times the width times the height. You can get a close estimate by measuring the outside dimensions and multiplying.
