Go back to your doctor just to make sure it's not something else. Your doctor can then prescribe the proper cough medication. If you are not going to go to the doctor and you have a dry cough, try Delsym. It quiet's a cough without making your sleepy.

You should probably go see the doctor. The fact that your cough has not cleared up could be a sign of a serious infection. Make an appointment with your doctor right away.

Because you had bronchitis, the lungs are still irritated from the mucus that was in and around them. You will probably feel the effects for a little longer. It should get better as time passes and over the counter cough medicines can help ease the coughing. If they don't help, a doctor may be able to give something that will.

If you're sure there is no serious condition going on, a cough will gradually go away. After a bout with bronchitis the cough can hang around for seemingly forever. A cough medicine that suits your symptoms may help but a cough usually doesn't go away until it's darn good and ready.
