How do you create a fillable document in word?

I would like to create a document in Microsoft word that will allow end users to fill in certain forms without changing the document or settings.

You need to begin with a template document created using all the styles you would typically use in a normal document. Then select Insert, and then Fields, and select "Document Automation" from the left column, and select the "Macro Button" from the right column. Examine the fields, and select "show field codes". You can also find table form tutorials online.

Usally Adobe *. pdf would be a wise choice in writing fillable documents. With mircosoft word it is very easy to always change settings and the document yourself. Even if it is encrypted and locked people always find a way to change it. With Adobe it's is a lot harder for end user to change it.

You can create forms usning the Forms toolbar to make the enduser to fillin particular area of text without changing the rest of the content or style. To view the Forms toolbar, goto Tools > Customize > Toolbars Tab and select the Forms toolbar. The Forms toolbar has different types of fields to fillin.

If you are wanting to create this type of fillable document then you will need to save it in a different format.
