Latitude and Longitude are a way of marking the location of something on the earth. MPH is a measurement of speed. It's the number of miles an object would travel in one hour if it kept a constant speed. A GPS unit can give you your current location (lat and long) and your current speed (mph).

Longitude and latitude cannot be converted to mph. Longitude and latitude measure a point on the earth, and mph measures how fast an object is moving across a distance on the face of the earth.
